The Lott Canada Alumni group was formed in 1981, in conjunction withnthe Hinderman family reunion. The reunion ws held at the Charles Major Lytle Post 818 American Legion Hall.
In 1989, the Lott Canada Alumni Associationwas incorporated and received its 501(3)C status. The first president was Vernon Hodge, Sr., and other officers were Calvin Hinderman, Easterling Davis, and Willadean Bess.
The Lott Canada Alumni Association has helped the elderly, veterans and has been instrumental in the historic markers being placed on the Lott Canada School, the American Legion Facility, and the St. Rose Cemetery in Beeville, where many of the Lott Canada alumna are buried.
Lott Canada Alumni Association is still today a close-knit active organization, and its members meet every year to commemorate its history.
Appearing in an 1990 Lott Canada Alumni Reunion publication is a quote fitting its mission: "There is no limit to the Love that has brought us Together. Our children, our future: Educate and Prepare them."
